We bring the Jacksonville Zoo to you!

Let us bring the zoo to you! Our educator outreach program transforms your classroom lesson or special event into a fun and interactive occasion! Every program includes a variety of animals and educational instruction for hands-on learning. We bring learning to life right from your classroom!

Animal Tales (PreK - 2nd Grade)

Bring storytime to life with animal tales featuring real animals! Follows the journey of one of our animal friends and meet our hero or heroine in person!

Maximum group size: 30 children
$125.00/program

Classroom or Auditorium Programs

Let us bring a fun and educational program with our animal ambassadors to you! Length of time depends on program choice. Contact us at education@jacksonvillezoo.org for available topics.

Maximum group size: 250

  • Up to 30 participants - $175/program
  • 31-75 participants - $275/program
  • 76-150 participants - $375/program
  • 151-250 participants - $475/program

Events and Festivals

Looking to add a little excitement to your next school festival or program? Our animal ambassadors can liven up any function! Simply provide us a space at your event and we will bring the zoo to you!

$175.00/hour


Create Your Own Program with the Jacksonville Zoo

We can customize a program to fit the needs of your group or present on general knowledge suitable for all ages. Participants may be invited to get up close and personal with Animal Ambassadors, depending on wildlife comfort level, your group size, and overall behavior.

Jacksonville Zoo Mobile Education Program Pricing
  • Multiple Program Discount: Receive 10% off any additional program or hour on the same day at the same facility.
  • Travel Fee: The first 30 miles from the Jacksonville Zoo are included in the program fee. Additional hours are $50.00 for each additional 30 miles.
  • Night and Weekend Fee: An additional fee of $50.00 per hour will be charged for programs after 3:00pm and weekend programs.

How to Schedule Your Program

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your Outreach date and time slot. For reservations or for more information, email jacobsa@jacksonvillezoo.org or call 904-757-4463 x189. Virtual options are also available upon request. 

Payment Policy

Payment is due in full four weeks prior to your visit to reserve your program. If you book less than four weeks in advance, a credit card number will be required to reserve your program. If you do not pay in full on the date of your outreach program, your credit card will be charged. 

Changes & Cancellation Policy

A program date change must be made in writing by email or fax. Date changes will incur a $25 rescheduling fee.mCancellations must be received in writing by email or fax at least two weeks prior to the program date to qualify for a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations within two weeks of the program date.


Field Trips to the Jacksonville Zoo

In addition to mobile education programs, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens also offers field trip opportunities for students of all ages.
