Looking for a fun and exciting adventure the whole family can enjoy together?

Wild Family Workshops will be an opportunity for you to spend quality time together, explore and learn about plants and animals, while participating in hands-on, nature-based activities. This program is intended for children 4+ years old and their families.

2021 Schedule:

April 17th - April Showers Bring May Flowers   *Sold Out - Waitlist Available*

Oh snapdragon! This month we're emphazing the "gardens" part of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. During this workshop we will learn about the ins and outs of plants and gardening. First we'll stroll through the all of our amazing gardens to find out about some of the fun and unique plants we have here at the Zoo. We'll spend some "thyme" discovering and learning about the most popular plants native to Florida and our area. A little gardening of our own and a visit from some garden friendly animal amabassadors will leaf you feeling so fresh and so green.

*NEW* May 15th - Zooper Heroes!

Calling all Zooper Heroes! Join us as we discover the amazing superpowers of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! Learn about the conservation efforts around the Zoo, meet some of our super ambassador animal friends, and create a sensational project for the whole family. Plus, find out how you can become a Zooper Hero and help animals in your own backyard and around the world! Superhero costumes encouraged.

*Topics and dates subject to change.

Each program will run 9 am - 12 pm unless otherwise noted
