Looking for a fun and exciting adventure the whole family can enjoy together?
Wild Family Workshops will be an opportunity for you to spend quality time together, explore and learn about plants and animals, while participating in hands-on, nature-based activities. This program is intended for children 4+ years old and their families.

Oh snapdragon! This month we're emphazing the "gardens" part of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. During this workshop we will learn about the ins and outs of plants and gardening. First we'll stroll through the all of our amazing gardens to find out about some of the fun and unique plants we have here at the Zoo. We'll spend some "thyme" discovering and learning about the most popular plants native to Florida and our area. A little gardening of our own and a visit from some garden friendly animal amabassadors will leaf you feeling so fresh and so green.

Calling all Zooper Heroes! Join us as we discover the amazing superpowers of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! Learn about the conservation efforts around the Zoo, meet some of our super ambassador animal friends, and create a sensational project for the whole family. Plus, find out how you can become a Zooper Hero and help animals in your own backyard and around the world! Superhero costumes encouraged.

PRICING
Each fee below covers one child and one adult per class.
Members:
$30 for 1 adult/child pair
$5 per additional child or adult in family
Non-Members:
$45 for 1 adult/child pair
$8 per additional child or adult in family

In compliance with CDC guidelines we are limiting capacity and adhering to physical distancing guidelines. We are also requiring that all workshop participants adhere to the following safety procedures:
- Each participant will have their temperature checked and answer a symptom questionnaire at check-in.
- Each participant must sign a COVID19 waiver.
- All Zoo staff and volunteers are required to wear face masks. For the well-being of you and your child(ren), and the safety of others, all participants 5 and over are required to wear cloth or disposable face masks for the duration of the workshop.

Authorizations
By enrolling in our programming, you authorize any emergency medical treatment and allow the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens to use your and/or your childs image for promotional and news purposes.
Waiting Lists
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Early Childhood programs, we do keep waiting lists when classes fill. If a desired program is not visible on the registration site, please assume that the date is filled to capacity. To be added to the wait list of an Early Childhood program, contact the Education department directly by email or call 904-757-4463, ext. 101.
Date Changes / Cancellations / Refunds
Due to the high demand for our Early Childhood programs, date changes are not allowed. Cancellations must be received in writing by email or fax. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or missed programs. We reserve the right to cancel any programs for people abusing the extra attendee price and no refund will be given.
