October 17th - Spooktacular!
Trick or treat yourself to a Spooktacular time. Halloween is right around the corner, and this workshop will be all about some of the Zoos ghoulest animals. We'll talk about animals that look spooky but are actually harmless, and animals who look harmless but are some of the spookiest animals around. Plus, we'll make a fangtastic wooden string art project and meet some faboolous animal ambassadors. Happy Howl-oween!

November 14th - Yer a Wizard
Calling all witches and wizards! Your letter has arrived. Put on your house gear and get ready for a magical workshop. Upon arrival you will be sorted by the sorting hat and placed into your destined House. Then it will be time for class. During the workshop you will attend: Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, and Care of Magical Creatures where you will meet 4 of our education animal ambassadors. Make sure you bring a snack, as we will have a break period in the Great Hall. Mischief Managed!
December 19th - Birds of Duuuval
Tweeting all bird enthusiasts, this workshop is for you! This workship will be about birds who are native to Florida and birds who come visit for the winter. We'll do some bird watching, talk about why birds migrate, and make bird feeders to help our feathery friends find a food source in the colder weather.

Each fee below covers one child and one adult per class.
$30 for 1 adult/child pair
$5 per additional child or adult in family
$45 for 1 adult/child pair
$8 per additional child or adult in family

By enrolling in our programming, you authorize any emergency medical treatment and allow the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens to use your and/or your childs image for promotional and news purposes.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our Early Childhood programs, we do keep waiting lists when classes fill. If a desired program is not visible on the registration site, please assume that the date is filled to capacity. To be added to the wait list of an Early Childhood program, contact the Education department directly by email or call 904-757-4463, ext. 101.
Date Changes / Cancellations / Refunds
Due to the high demand for our Early Childhood programs, date changes are not allowed. Cancellations must be received in writing by email or fax. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or missed programs. We reserve the right to cancel any programs for people abusing the extra attendee price and no refund will be given.
