Educate over 1 million visitors
Care for more than 2,500 animals and 1,000 plant species
Support local conservation efforts, including an employee-volunteer Marine Mammal Response team and more than 45 conservation projects worldwide
Our ambitious goal is to raise $5 million per year from private sources, which will be matched by the City of Jacksonville for another $5 million per year. In essence, this means that your impact is doubled to dramatically improve Zoo facilities!
Donate $50 or more online before December 31, 2022 and your name will be recognized on a donor wall at the new entrance.
REZOOVENATION will touch nearly every corner of the Zoo, beginning with an innovative, immersive arrival experience and benefiting animals and visitors alike. Both new and expanded animal habitats will reflect our commitment to wellness-inspired designs and one-of-a-kind animal experiences, allowing more than a million guests each year to be inspired as they meander through exquisite ecosystems, learning about the diversity of the natural world in new and exciting ways.

The VyStar SkyScape will be the centerpiece of a new Zoo entrance as an iconic open-air roof structure covering 25,000 square feet and extending 50 feet high.
On Friday, November 4 from 6:00-8:30 pm in the parking lot, we’re kick-starting our fundraiser with a party for the whole family.
October 4, 2021
The first phase of REZOOVENATION includes the construction of Manatee River, being supported first by $3 million from J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver.

This bold vision can only be achieved through partnerships with our community—individuals, corporations, foundations, and local government. The City of Jacksonville has demonstrated its support of the Zoo and this project by making a five-year matching pledge of $5M per year! Now, we invite you to join this exciting endeavor.
