Named Member: A Member listed on the membership card by name. Photos of all Named Members are added to Member account for access through the turnstile. Named adults without photos in system must show Valid ID to receive access; named children without photos in system may be asked to verify membership at Member Office. Named adults may not be changed during the membership year, but may be changed when the membership is renewed.
Member Child: A child listed by name between the ages of 3 and 17. All children in one household may be placed under one Family Membership. Up to four grandchilden may be named with grandparents on Family Memberships. Children 2 and under are always free.
Unnamed Guest: The Unnamed Guest may be a person of any age. Unnamed Guests must be accompanied by a Named Adult in order to enter the Zoo. Unnamed Guests do not receive a membership card. The number of Unnamed Guests will appear when your card is scanned at the turnstile upon entry.
Yes, Members must make a reservation each day they would like to visit. You will receive an email confirmation with your tickets to scan upon entering and you may be asked to show your ID.
You will receive an email providing your Member ID number once your membership has been processed. Your Member Card will arrive in the mail with the address on file.
You will need to allow 24-48 hours for your membership to be processed, then you will receive your Member ID via email for making Member Reservations.
If you purchase daily admission tickets online, you can stop by our Guest Relations/Member Office to apply General Admission toward a membership purchase.
Yes, you can visit our Guest Relations/Member Office during your visit to apply the cost of General Admission toward membership. You may only apply the cost of the tickets for those covered under your membership.

A 10% off discount on memberships is available to seniors (65+), military, educators, and City of Jacksonville employees.
The above discounts are only applicable for the adult being named on the membership. Valid and appropriate ID must be presented to receive the 10% discount. Only one discount may apply per membership. Discounts are not available on Heart of the Zoo, Gift Memberships, or Guest Passes.

You will purchase a Gift Membership when purchasing membership for someone else. Recipient receives a certificate, so membership begins when redeemed/activated, instead of the day of purchase.
