Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens offers educational programs for families to provide opportunities for parents, grandparents, and children to learn more about wildlife, nature, and the importance of conservation. From workshops to animal encounters, family education programs are both fun and informative.
Pack up the stroller, put on your walking shoes and bring your little one on an early learning adventure as we stroll through the Zoo. This special class is designed for children ages 0-3 and a caregiver. Make new friends while you visit animal exhibits, meet a friendly animal ambassador, and explore the animal world with all your senses!
Hey parents! Are you looking for a fun and exciting adventure the whole family can enjoy together? Wild Family Workshops will be an opportunity for you to spend quality time together, explore and learn about plants and animals, while participating in hands-on, nature-based activities.
Homeschool Zoocademy at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is offered for students ages 5-15 and covers a wide range of topics in biology, zoology, environmental science, and conservation, and more.

Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in Nassau and Duval counties, we are prioritizing the health and safety of campers, staff, and animals, and in doing so, we are cancelling camp scheduled for July 26-30, 2021.
During the day, enjoy a tour of our Zoo and Gardens, with one of our knowledgeable Education Guides and have your family group led on a private expereince filled with fun facts and animal stories.
Outdoor Explore! is the Jacksonville Zoo’s free family nature club. Each month we meet in a different location to explore the green spaces around our city and interact with the natural world. Outdoor Explore! is intended for children in 2nd-5th grade and their siblings of all ages!
