Have you always wanted an opportunity to work at the Zoo? Do you need to accumulate credit hours for school?
An internship is a great way to gain hands-on experience in an exciting and rewarding setting! We have a variety of unpaid internship positions in almost every department. Our zoo operates at the hands of people from many different backgrounds and professions including Education, Exhibits Design, Marketing, and of course Animal Care! Unpaid internships are offered in seasonal terms such as Fall Term, Winter Term, Spring Term, and Summer Term. Applications are posted by term and are only available until the application deadline.

Please visit the internship description for the position you are interested in and follow the instructions listed to apply. Please be sure to email a resume and cover letter to the individuals listed on the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered for review.
If selected for an unpaid internship, there is a $50.00 fee to cover a drug screen, background check, name badge, and t-shirt.
Drug screen and background check must be cleared prior to starting the internship. Please complete these as soon as possible once you have accepted your internship as these components can take time and may delay the start of your internship if not completed. Interns will also be required to attend one of the scheduled orientations listed in the application.
