Facilities Operations Coordinator
The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Operations Coordinator. This position will directly assist the Facilities Manager in performing the daily duties of the department including clerical and administrative support. The role’s primary responsibilities will be to implement our work order software and train others to utilize its full capabilities. The position is the central point of contact regarding all work related requests submitted to the Facilities department and therefore requires someone who can multitask while working in a dynamic team environment.
A college education is preferred, but not required. Prior experience in facilities/construction coordination work is strongly desired, must possess a strong working knowledge of database software as well as Microsoft Office products and demonstrated success in providing excellent customer service. A valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
Applicants must be able to sit for long periods of time, to bend and kneel, to lift 20 pounds without difficulty, to traverse zoo grounds and operate a motorized cart to facilitate tours, greet visitors, and to coordinate meetings.
