Construction Project Manager
The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is currently seeking a Project Manager. The role will plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. . Each project will necessitate working with team members and third-party contractors or consultants. The project manager will define project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle; ensuring timely, cost effective initiatives are delivered at the highest level of quality. This role acts as the liaison between Zoo leadership and contractors.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of successful construction project management experience and a working knowledge of ADA legislation and requirements. The candidate must be able to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
A college degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project manager and proficiency using Project Management methodologies and tools to include Microsoft Office Project. PMP certification, is a plus.
The job requires that you be able:
•to remain on feet for long periods of time.
•transverse zoo grounds and construction site on foot.
•to participate in training sessions, presentations and meetings.
•to operate motorized golf cart.
•to sit for extended periods of time.
