10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Learn all about wild birds at the first annual Wild Bird Festival.  There will be information booths and children’s activities. 

    Schedule of Events:
  • Bird animal encounters at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Great Lawn
  • Wild Bird tours at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. starting from the Great Lawn
  • Bird watching stations at the following locations:
    • Butterfly garden in between Wild Florida and Main Camp
    • Play park at the magnolia near the maze
    • Range of the Jaguar in between the restrooms and flamingo viewing
    • Great lawn
  • Photo opportunities with the Eagle mascot from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Information booths from the Audubon Society, Tree Hill Nature Center, and Talbot Island Parks in the Great Lawn
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with a scope at the giraffe overlook
  • Bird food samples and bird part displays in the Great Lawn
  • Children’s activities such as make-a-pine-cone feeder, make-a-bird home, and bird coloring pages in the Great Lawn
  • Animal enrichment at various exhibits and times throughout the day

Bold Bean Coffee
Bold Bean Coffee Roasters will also be onsite giving out information and samples of organic, 100% shade grown coffee, which is a bird-friendly grown coffee.  Click for more information.
