Early Childhood Education

Fall 2014 Early Childhood Programming

Please note that all Early Childhood Programming (Story Safari Series and Zoo Tots) takes place in our new Early Childhood Classroom!

This classroom can be found at the Pepsico Foundation Education Campus located at the south end of the Zoo’s main parking lot.  You do not need to enter the Zoo in order to attend the programs.

Due to space limitations in the new location, we ask that you make any necessary arrangements to leave strollers parked outside of the classroom when attending a program.

Fall 2014 Story Safari Series

Story Safari Series will introduce you and your child (ages 1-3) to a favorite animal themed book that will engage him or her in a new wonder of the Animal Kingdom. Each 30-minute program will emphasize a positive and engaging interaction with one of the Zoo’s animal ambassadors to help each story come to life. Class size is limited to the first 12 children to register.

We recommend that the caregiver/child ratio for this program be 1:1. We realize this will not always be possible but please be aware that this class will rely heavily on caregiver/child interaction throughout the entire program.
