Soil Requirements:
Drought tolerant, allow to dry out between watering
Notes:
- The swollen base is an adaptation for storing water in times of drought
- Do not water too frequently or allow this plant to sit in standing water
- Makes a great low maintenance container plant for inside or out
- Not really a palm but is related to the Yuccas and Agaves
- In preferred environment can get to 30’ tall, when used as a house plant in cooler areas may get 6’-8’
