Light Requirements:
Full sun is best but will take some shade
Soil Requirements:
Drought resistant but will grow faster and look better with adequate water
Notes:
- Quick grower to over 100’ but doesn’t normally reach full height in Florida due to susceptibility to lightning strikes.
- Known for their skirt of dead leaves which can be home to many small animals and birds.
- Large dark green leaves have orange leaf stems that are edged with sawtooth spines
- Salt resistant.
