Light Requirements:
Likes full sun and bright shade, young palms look better when grown in partial shade.
Soil Requirements:
Regular watering, develops a long tap root to survive long periods of drought
Notes:
- Slow grower to about 30’ tall.
- Rachis is smooth in young palms and spiny in mature palms.
- Ends of the leaves have a gentle droop.
- Immature plants are sometimes massed and used as a lush groundcover.
