Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Partners with Bank of America to Commemorate Black History Month

Special Admission Offer and Blood Drive

Partnering with Bank of America, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will pay tribute to Black History Month by offering a Buy-One-Get-One coupon good for February 2-3, 2013.  Guests can purchase one adult general admission ticket at regular price and receive one adult general admission ticket free, or buy one child general admission ticket at regular price and receive one child general admission ticket free!  Coupons for this offer will be available online at jacksonvillezoo.org and must be presented in order to receive this special admissions offer. 

In conjunction with this weekend offer, The Blood Alliance will be onsite accepting blood donations on Saturday, February 2, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Blood Alliance’s mobile unit will be parked in front of the Zoo’s main camp entrance and anyone who donates blood will receive a free t-shirt. The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will be open during regular business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For nearly a century, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has been dedicated to inspiring the discovery and appreciation of wildlife through innovative experiences in a caring environment. Started in 1914 with an animal collection that consisted of one red deer fawn, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens now has more than 1,800 rare and exotic animals. It has won national acclaim for its South American Range of the Jaguar exhibit and regional, state and local awards for its botanical gardens. The Jacksonville Zoo is a nonprofit organization and is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
