Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Hosts Mother’s Day Celebration: Brunch, Activities and Special Offer

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is pleased to announce that the Zoo will be offering a Mother’s Day Brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day Brunch will take place on May 13, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens’ Shaba Terrace. Guests can enjoy a delicious brunch buffet, a visit from Jazoo, live animal encounters, and a themed activity for children.
Ticket pricing is as follows: Adults: Members $24.95 and non-members $28.95; Children: Members $9.95 and non-members $12.95. Pricing does not include Zoo admission. Pre-registration for brunch is required. Please reserve by Friday, May 9th by calling 904-757-4463 extension 200.
The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens will also have a special general admission offer on Mother’s Day: Mothers will receive free admission to the Zoo on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, 2012, with a coupon from the Zoo’s website at jacksonvillezoo.org. Each coupon is good for one free admission on May 13, 2012 only.
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is also paying special tribute to its new animal mothers on Mother’s Day. New animal mothers will be given enrichment, or special treats that will entertain them and strengthen their natural skills, throughout the day!
For nearly a century, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has been dedicated to inspiring the discovery and appreciation of wildlife through innovative experiences in a caring environment. Starting in 1914 with an animal collection that consisted of one red deer fawn, the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens now has more than 2,000 rare and exotic animals and 1,000 plants. It has won national acclaim for its South American Range of the Jaguar exhibit and has the largest botanical garden in Northeast Florida. The Jacksonville Zoo is a non-profit organization and is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). It is open year-round, seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Christmas day, and is located on Jacksonville’s north side at 370 Zoo Parkway, one-half mile east from I-95.
