Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Hides 30,000 Eggs for its Great Spring Egg Hunt

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is hopping with joy to host its annual Great Spring Egg Hunt event Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Zoo’s Great Lawn.
Children will have the opportunity to hunt for thousands of eggs, enjoy music, animal encounters and visits with JaZoo, the Zoo’s friendly lion mascot, and his friend, Hoppy the Rabbit! There will also be EGG-stra special prizes hidden for several lucky guests to find. There will be three hunts, divided into age groups and scheduled to begin at the following times: 10 a.m. for 0-3 year olds, 11 a.m. for 4-6 year olds, and 12 p.m. for 7-10 year olds. Guests should bring their own baskets to collect the eggs. The fun will last all day with egg-related enrichment for some of the Zoo’s animals, including a gorilla egg toss!
