Why Should Kids Have All the Fun?
Family Fun Workshops at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

August 14, 2007 – Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Family Fun Workshops are opportunities for families to learn more about the animals and the world we share.  The next workshop in its series “Animal Enrichment” is scheduled for Sunday, September 16, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Zoo’s PepsiCo Education Foundation Campus.  Enrichment is vital to the overall health and mental well being of an animal in our care.  Join us as we explore this behind-the-scene activity and help us make some “toys” for the animals.  Each workshop includes a learning experience, hands-on activities, a visit to the Zoo, and a craft to take home.  Take home items for this workshop will include enrichment objects that you can place outside for your wild neighbors to enjoy!

The cost is $3 per person for Zoo members and $4 per person for non-Zoo members.  This does not include Zoo admission, which must be paid separately.  Pre-registration is required, and seating is limited to the first 25 people who register.  The minimum age is 6.  For more information, please call (904) 757-4463 ext. 122, or visit the Zoo’s Web site at jacksonvillezoo.org for registration forms.
