Press Release Jacksonville’s Biggest Halloween Festival at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens The 18th Annual Spooktacular – October 21-22 & 27-31 October 19, 2006, Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens announced its biggest Spooktacular ever, “A Pumpkinville Halloween Festival”, is scheduled for October 21-22 and 27-31, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sponsored by Nemours, this year’s Spooktacular will feature kooky pumpkin characters and hundreds of beautifully carved and lit pumpkins. Visitors will be treated to some brand new fall festival scenes such as the Enchanted Forest, The Black Cave and the Funny Bone Tunnel all with unique lighting and special effects. Families and children can enjoy a free inflatable carnival, and kids can end their visit with a trip to the Pumpkinville Candy Factory. Spooktacular will again feature lighted animal exhibits, which will offer guests the opportunity to see the night behaviors of jaguars, lions, giraffes, and more. Costumed characters will stroll around the grounds, interacting with guests and providing parents with great photo opportunities. Admission is $9 for the general public and $8 for Zoo members.
